Inserting Equations into Jarte

Equations can be inserted into the Jarte word processor using the popular MathType equation editor by Design Science. Jarte's Insert Equation feature automatically starts the MathType program if it is installed. Use the following web link to access the MathType download page:

Note: The download is a 30 day trial edition of the MathType equation editor. However, after 30 days MathType continues to function even if you choose not to purchase it. In that case, some features will be disabled but you will still have a very usable equation editor. In other words, you can use the MathType equation editor for as long as you wish with no obligation to make a purchase (although you may find the extra features to be well worth the cost of the program if you write a lot of equations).

You can specify that Jarte use an equation editor other than MathType by providing an appropriate value for advanced setting Equation File Ext.
